Halloweekend exists because some people don’t want to go out in the middle of the week if that’s the day halloween falls on. BUT there’s still parties on actual Halloween night – just make a good academic decision!
During my freshman year of college, Halloween fell on a Wednesday. There were two advertised Halloweekends, the weekends before and after, but there was also Halloween parties for another weekend after? People really like any excuse to dress up – even if it’s the second week of November. Either way, we had lots of chances to dress up and have a great time with our friends.
In this post we show you easy girl Halloween costumes that will be a showstopper at any college Halloweekend party.

1. GREASE
What. A. Classic. Grease is forever an amazing movie, and this costume is the perfect mix between hot and classic elegance that is instantly recognizable.
2. MARGARITAS
Bring the drink to the parties. Literally. Wear them.
This is a quick, easy one that’s super funny. I recommend making the headbands and straws out of construction paper!

Among college Halloween costumes, aliens are becoming more and more popular. This is a super cute, DIY idea that you can even add to a group of friends!
4. LIFEGUARD
A lifeguard is one of my favorite Halloween costumes, since the core component is a red swimsuit. This makes spending the money on your costume worthwhile! Save yourself some money and just get a plain red swimsuit versus one that says “lifeguard” on it. Then, you can wear it again in the summer.
I fully planned on being a lifeguard for my Freshman year Halloweekend, and proudly walked in to target to get their super cute red swimsuits. I live in Minnesota, and they kindly informed me that since it is now snowing, they haven’t had swimsuits for a month.Even though this costume didn’t work out for me, this is such an easy girl Halloween costume that you can add to your list of Halloween costumes!

5. 80’S FITNESS MODEL
Get a bright colored bodysuit, bright leggings, some retro chunky fitness bands and make sure to wave your hair!
6. BLOODY RIPPED T-SHIRT THING
Halloweekend is FILLED with like half the people dressed up as this. I’m not sure what it’s supposed to be – a zombie? Just a bloody person? Who knows. BUT it is a super cheap costume and perfect if you’re on a budget and you don’t feel like sinking money into an outfit you can only wear for one day.
Get a pack of white t-shirts and share them with your friends, some fake blood, rip the t-shirts and throw on some black ripped leggings if you want to be more festive. That’s literally all this costume entails! Split everything below with 2 or 3 friends and the total price of this outfit is $8!
7. HERSHEY’S KISS
This costume is really simple, inexpensive, and is sure to grab a ton of attention! I absolutely love this easy girl Halloween costume for college students.
8. SWAT TEAM MEMBERS
This is a super easy last minute costume- and a sexy college Halloween costume idea. All you really need is the SWAT hat and badge to make it clear what you are dressed up as. The rest of the costume you probably already have!
9. MUMMY
Turns out just wrapping yourself in some toilet paper (or white, cheap strips of fabric) doesn’t look half bad! For this costume, I really recommend wearing a white bandeau and tight skirt under the strips. Just make sure you fully wrap the strips around the skirt and bandeau, overlapping them, so you can’t see the clothing underneath.

This is the perfect last minute costume idea for a group of friends. Just like dressing up as fruit, this one needs a more crafty side to get the costumes put together, but the results are funny and cute.

This is probably the easiest costume, since you can order an emoji shirt last minute. This costume is perfect if you weren’t planning on going out for Halloween, don’t want to put a ton of time into a costume, or you want a backup costume just incase.

Here’s a super cute take on the childhood classic. This costume only consists of ears, black clothing, sunglasses, and a cane. Make sure to grab two friends for this costume, otherwise people might not understand what you’re supposed to be!

Playing cards is a really simple costume to put together fairly quickly. White tank tops or t-shirts, black skirts or pants, and some black construction paper to cut out the card parts.

I love this Halloween costume! It’s super simple, super cute, and allows you to be as creative as you want. I think the way these people in the picture are dressed is perfect to copy, but this costume gives you freedom to dress it up or down however you’d like. All you truly need is the sailors hat! This is definitely one of those easy girl Halloween costumes.

Red solo cups are a Halloweekend classic. All you need is a red sweater or shirt, ping pong balls strung on a necklace, and some white felt to make the “SOLO” letters.
