NEW YEAR’S EVE DECOR IDEAS

1. INSTAGRAM WORTHY PHOTO WALL

If you want to host a New Year’s Eve party, you NEED to have a photo wall. These are SO cute, and perfect for every instagrammable moment the night brings.

I recommend using a neutral colored but fun background, like gold or silver. This will match everyone’s outfit, and create a perfect background accent!

Include lots of streamers, big confetti filled balloons, and some other cute New Years Eve banners and decor. Think of what would be in a movie’s New Years Eve party scene. Make it trendy, and copy that!

Here’s some of my favorite decor ideas to help make your instagram photo wall come to life. Plus, they’re all budget friendly!!

2. SPARKLING CENTERPIECE

Hosting a super fancy New Year’s Eve dinner, or just have a cute dining room table that you want to display?

A super sparkly, cute, and trendy centerpiece is the perfect way to do this!

Below I have options for a long table or a shorter table – pick which fits your needs better!

3. CONFETTI BALLOONS

Confetti Balloons are perfect for keeping in corners of your house! They’re inexpensive, cheap to get filled with helium, and work perfectly for adding a large piece of decor very inexpensively.

4. GIANT CHAMPAGNE BALLOONS

These are SO cute!!! If you are making a photo booth for your party, these are an essential.

There’s a couple different style options for these balloons, so get a variety and spread them throughout the party!

5. BALLOON GARLAND

A balloon garland leading from a giant blow up bottle of champagne is the ultimate New Year’s Eve decoration.

I really like when this is strung outside on a balcony, or taking up an entryway wall. So cute!

6. CHAMPAGNE FLUTE DECOR

Glasses of champagne are a party staple, and deserve to be just as festive as the rest of the party.

There’s tons of ways to decorate your champagne flutes, but I personally love the idea of adding some cute drink stirrers. Better yet, get a variety and let you guests pick which one they would like!

Here’s some of my favorites:

7. PAPER STRAWS

Hand in hand with drink stirrers, straws are a great way to add some decorations to your beverages. Instead of using plastic straws, use some festive paper ones!

They’re usually a lot cuter, and you can get a variety and let your guests pick which ones they want to use.

8. BANNERS!

Banners are a great, inexpensive way to add some super cute wall decor for New Year’s Eve. Put one on your door to invite guests in, add some to windows, and of course include them in your photo booth.

9. SPARKLING CHAMPAGNE TOWER

Who else loves a decoration that you can drink?

These super cute sparkly champagne flutes are perfect for fill and stack on top of eachother. Just stacking the champagne flutes is super risky, and I would highly recommend stacking all of the glasses into this clear cake stand to stabilize them.

10. NOISE MAKERS IN GLASS CONTAINERS

This is another great way to have usable decor! Putting noise makers that match the theme of your party in glass containers makes them perfect for cute decor. I recommend keeping a couple of these containers around the party, to keep a consistent flow and make sure everyone is able to grab a noise maker before midnight.

11. CONTAINERS OF KISSES

Is there a better candy to leave out for NYE other than kisses? Probably not!

You can also print out a cute sign that says “midnight kisses” or something similar so people understand the joke. Alongside this they’re perfect for matching with a black and gold NYE party theme since kisses are wrapped in silver foil.

12. THICK CONFETTI FOR MIDNIGHT

For midnight, give people the option to throw some confetti. It’s super fun! It might be a little bit of a mess to clean up, but if you plan ahead and only get thick, large confetti, it’ll vacuum up no problem!
