5 Easy Tips to Wake Up Before 8am – Even if you Hate Mornings

College is starting soon, and the habit of sleeping in until noon probably isn’t the best.

Here’s 5 tips that I learned while converting myself into a morning person!

HOW TO BECOME A MORNING PERSON

1. START ON A WEEK THAT YOU KNOW YOU HAVE TO GET UP EARLY.

Starting on a week where you know you have to wake up early makes everything much easier. If you have an event coming up, such as an opening shift at work, start getting up every day at that time.

2. PLAN OUT YOUR MORNING.

The night before, try to make your morning as easy as possible for yourself. Set out your clothes, make your breakfast if you can, pack your lunch, and pack your backpack.

The fewer things you have to think about in the morning, the better!

3. WAKE UP EARLY ON A SATURDAY

The weekends are by far the most tempting to sleep in for hours. You’ll truly begin training yourself to wake up early if you continue waking up early through the weekends. Remember, consistency is key!

4. SET YOUR ALARM TO YOUR FAVORITE SONG

Waking up in the morning to something familiar and nicer than a loud, unpleasant noise can make a nice difference when easing into the morning.

5. PLAN AN EXCITING MORNING

Plan something to look forward to in the morning. It could be a good breakfast, a fun-filled day, or even just some candy you can reward yourself with in the morning. Whatever it is, it should be something that will help you wake up!
