18 Halloween Makeup Must Haves | Makeup You Need for Halloween Night

This post shows you Halloween makeup must haves.

You probably already know what you’re going to be for Halloween. This is a surprisingly big decision for incoming college freshman. It’s your first Halloweekend, and no one has a clue what to expect.

If going out to parties on Halloweekend isn’t your thing, don’t worry about it. I knew a lot of people who were stressed at the beginning of the year with school and the social aspects of college, and know that not going out for Halloweekend is absolutely okay, too!

If you do decide to go out for Halloweekend, you most likely want bomb makeup to go with your super cute costume. This is where I can help! Even though you’ll buy these makeup products for Halloween, know that they’ll be perfect for months after Halloweekend.

This post shows you 18 Halloween makeup essentials – that work well beyond your Halloweekend.

HALLOWEEN MAKEUP MUST HAVES

1. FELT TIP EYELINER

Felt tip eyeliner is perfect for creating wings, drawing dots on faces, whatever you need!

When it comes to Halloween makeup, getting quality makeup that will last all night is key. Here’s my favorite high end and affordable felt tip eyeliners – all are extremely quality!

2. SETTING SPRAY

If you’re going to invest in only one makeup product for Halloween night, let it be a high quality setting spray. When I would work 16 hour shifts at a nursing home, my makeup literally would not move when I used these setting sprays.

I highly recommend these, way past Halloweekend. Integrate them into your regular makeup routine!

3.  FUN EYELASHES

Big, bold, colorful eyelashes are perfect for Halloween festivities.

Whether you choose a colored mascara or some huge fake eyelashes, make sure they’re fun!

4. COLORFUL EYESHADOW

With Halloween comes tons of colors. The best way to add colors easily to your face is with a colorful eyeshadow palette!

The one listed below is highly pigmented, affordable, and includes a ton of colors.

5. WHITE EYELINER

White eyeliner is a must have for making your eyes look bigger, and making them pop.

If you plan on dressing as anything that has large, doll like eyes, a white eyeliner is an essential.

6.TEMPORARY HAIR TINT

If you have light colored hair, a temporary hair tint can be the perfect finishing touch for any Halloween costume.

7.  CHUNKY GLITTER

Chunky glitter is the perfect staple for almost every Halloween costume, especially college ones. I love when people use it in the place of highlight, and add some strips of it on their thighs or arms.

Here’s my favorite one:

8. INTENSE HIGHLIGHT

I absolutely love a super intense highlight, on much more nights than just Halloweekend!

Believe it or not, an intense highlight doesn’t need to be super expensive. Here’s my tried and true drugstore brand options.

9. TINTED BROW GEL

I love a perfect brow, and one of the easiest ways to achieve this quickly is with tinted brow gel. Tinted brow gel is perfect for thick, statement eyebrows when applied heavily – perfect for costumes.

I use tinted brow gel almost every day to fill in my brows, I just use a smaller amount.

10. AIRSPUN SETTING POWDER

This is one of my holy grail products. The amount of product that comes for the price is just insane!

When I use this powder to set my makeup, it helps it stay for hours longer than it usually would. Combine this setting powder with a good setting spray, and you’re all set for Halloweekend night.

11. COLORED CONTACTS

12. BRONZER

Bronzer is an essential for every makeup bag, and has tons of uses for Halloween makeup. Need brown dots on your face to finish off a deer costume? Bronzer and some mixing spray! Need to look “dirty” because you’re dressing as some kind of worker? Tons of bronzer with a big fluffy brush.

Here’s my favorite bronzer choices. Trust me, you’ll use them far past Halloweekend.

13. FAKE BLOOD

Fake blood is a clear need for your Halloween makeup stock. That stuff lasts forever, and it’s super cheap!

14. RIDE OR DIE MASCARA

Big lashes are awesome every day, and are almost expected to make an appearance alongside your college Halloween costume. I’ve tried (what seems like) millions of mascaras, and this is by far my favorite.

No clumping, super affordable, and the formula is best selling. Compared to a lot of high end mascaras, I still find myself reaching for this one.

(For $10 – you get TWO) :

15. METALLIC LIPSTICK

Metallic lipstick actually looks super bomb on anyone’s lips. The problem? Metallic lipstick typically doesn’t fit in with everyone’s daily themes and styles.

Break out the fun lipstick for Halloween, or any other fitting holidays!

16. COLORFUL FAKE NAILS

There’s no point in going to get a fresh set of fun acrylics for only one night! Get some fun fake nails and enjoy wearing them for Halloween.

17. UV BODY PAINT

When I went to college, I was so shocked at how many black light parties there are. Even if it isn’t advertised as a black light party, usually parties have black lights since they don’t want to have actual lights on.

For Halloween, go nuts with UV body paint! This will make you absolutely glow at parties and will be super fun.

18. NEON NAIL POLISH

If fake nails aren’t your thing, neon nail polish is the perfect addition to your outfit.

Here’s my favorite nail polish! It’s affordable, and has a wide variety of colors.
