This post is about what I have in my freshman year backpack.
With freshman year coming up quick, I’m going to give you a tour of my backpack. Since I completed two years of school at a community college, I know exactly what I need in my backpack for class. Here’s an inside look of my in-class necessities!
My backpack
My backpack is from Duluth Pack. This backpack was definitely an investment for me, but it was well worth it. I’ve had this backpack for two years already and I can’t believe I ever had any other backpack. The canvas is strong and durable, and I love how the straps adjust with the leather and brass clasps.
Study materials
For class, I always use a Five Star notebook, the same pens, and I have a couple odds and ends in case I need them. Click to see all the school supplies I actually use.
Snacks
I always have a couple snacks with me, and sometimes even a whole lunch. My favorite snacks to take with are kind granola bars. They are pretty good for you, really filling, and always have some kind of delicious chocolate or candy like drizzle across the top. The caramel almond and sea salt is one of my favorites!
I also always have my water bottle with me. This one is my favorite, and I got it from walmart for only $12! I try to drink two of these by the time all my classes are done for the day.
Laptop and charger
I always always always have my laptop and charger with me. I use it in my classes a ton, and I like to work on homework or blog posts between classes.
Phone charger or battery pack
I use my phone a lot, and I don’t have the best battery. I keep these two essentials with me always to make sure I never had a dead battery.
Extra clothes
Depending on what day it is, I’ll bring a raincoat, sweatshirt, or other layers with me to make sure I can accomodate to the climate. Some days I don’t have time to run up to my dorm, and it’s horrible when I am freezing in a lecture hall!
My University ID card
At my university I’m pretty much dead without my U card. I always always have it with me!
I try to not keep any extras in my backpack during the day. With pretty far walks between my classes, and I try not to put too much weight on my back. The only thing missing from this list would be the occasional textbook, but I do readings in advance and usually can access everything I need from my laptop.
This post showed you what I keep in my freshman year backpack.
